Meet Justin
Justin Davies - Managing Director
GAICD, B Bus Marketing and Communications
Justin is a business coach, business advisor and mentor, and an accomplished facilitator. Justin is passionate about helping business owners succeed in the unique and sometimes overwhelming challenge that can exist in running a successful business.
Justin has over 15 years specialising as a coach during a 30 year career. In addition to helping many SME business owners and leaders through Emergination, he co-founded a SAAS technology company, was a CEO in the commercialisation of technology of two companies (created out of Curtin University), as well as VP Marketing for another.
He has successfully run a software development company, winning business in excess of $20 million and managed individual programs of software development and strategic work in excess of $10 million. Prior to these roles, he was an Account Director in the advertising industry working with major brands such as RACWA, ANZ and Bankwest.
He is an experienced public speaker and understands how to apply smart strategic thinking within business. He is particularly strong at grasping concepts quickly and in turn communicating those concepts effectively. He is Certified in Harrison Assessments Solutions including Employee Development Accreditation using the Harrison Assessments Talent Management System.
Justin has successfully served as a director of 5 companies, 3 of which have been in non-executive roles and is a graduate of the AICD Company Directors Course. He is a director of mining services technology company Clean Plant and a non-executive director of GolfWA.
Meet Dan
Dan Engles - Business Coach
Dan is an experienced business owner and considered business leader. He understands that challenges that face business leaders in growing their companies, and provides an empathetic approach to supporting those leaders to do so. Dan is located in Sydney.
As Managing Director of Visa Solutions Australia, he has led the expansion of the business to have a national coverage with offices operating in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. Prior to relaunching Visa Solutions Australia, he was the Managing Director of an ASX listed company (Interstaff Recruitment Ltd).
Dan Engles has an in depth understanding of government policy. Prior to establishing his own firm in 2004, Dan was employed with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia ('CCI') for more than eight years as a Senior Executive.
During most of that period he held the position of Senior Economist and was responsible for a number of matters including submissions to both State and the Federal governments and also represented the CCI's views through the media. He was the architect of a new commercial business unit for the CCI and successfully established and operated the unit to become one of the CCI's first commercial functions.
Between 1989 and 1996 Dan was employed by the Federal Departments of Treasury and Finance in Canberra. He held a number of roles during this period dealing with a variety of issues including debt management, investment promotion, current economic conditions, monetary policy and balance of payments.
His experience also includes almost a decade as a Senior Executive and Senior Economist with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia ('CCI').
Dan holds a Bachelor of Business majoring in Economics and Finance from Curtin University and a Graduate Diploma in Accounting from Canberra University.
Meet Pauline
Pauline Fos - Marketing Coordinator
Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship
Pauline joined the Emergination team in 2020. In conjunction with Justin, she provides support for Emergination clients and projects that define and realise strategies for business growth, as well as managing the marketing activities for Emergination.
With a professional background as a Financial Advisor and Property Consultant, Pauline is highly trained in marketing and sales with financial literacy about property and investments.
She has experience in negotiation and sales presentation and is creative and approachable. She has a high sense of responsibility, good interpersonal skills, and leadership.
