Business Review for WA Business Owners
Find out what’s holding your business back - and what to fix first
When you’re immersed in the day-to-day, it can be difficult to see which problems are merely symptoms and which ones are really affecting performance.
Emergination’s Business Review gives you an independent assessment of your business, clear priorities and a practical plan for moving forward.
We’ll speak with you first to make sure the review is appropriate for your business.
Trusted by WA businesses
Is your business working as well as it should?
Your business may be busy, but that doesn’t always mean it’s performing well.
Revenue might be growing while margins and cash flow remain under pressure. Your team may be working hard, but too many decisions still depend on you. You may have plenty of opportunities, but no clear way to decide which ones deserve your attention.
Many WA business owners are dealing with:
Rising wages, overheads and supplier costs
Cash flow pressure despite steady sales
Inconsistent margins or profitability
Difficulty finding, retaining or managing the right people
Too much knowledge and responsibility sitting with the owner
Constant firefighting and competing priorities
Growth that has stalled—or become difficult to manage
Uncertainty about where to invest time and money
When everything feels important, it’s easy to keep working harder without addressing the real constraint.
The Business Review helps you step back, assess the whole business and identify what will make the greatest difference.
Stop Treating the Symptoms
A sales problem may actually be a positioning problem.
A people problem may be caused by unclear roles or weak systems.
Cash flow pressure may come from pricing, margins, payment terms or the wrong mix of work.
The purpose of the Business Review is to look beyond the immediate symptoms and identify the underlying issues affecting your business.
It will help you answer four important questions:
What is working well?
What is holding the business back?
What needs attention first?
What should we do next?

What the review examines
Your Business Review considers the areas that have the greatest influence on sustainable business performance, including:
- Business direction and strategy
- Leadership and owner dependence
- Financial performance
- Sales and marketing
- Customers and market position
- People and team performance
- Systems and operations
- Productivity and implementation
- Growth opportunities
- Business risks
The review is tailored to your business. We focus on the areas most relevant to your current challenges rather than applying a generic checklist.
How The Business Review Works
1. Initial conversation
We begin with a short conversation about your business, its current position and the challenges you want to address.
This allows us to confirm whether the Business Review is the right service for you and explain what will be involved before you make a commitment.
2. Business diagnostics
You’ll begin with the Growth and Profit Diagnostic, which provides an overview of the business.
Based on the results and our initial conversation, we’ll select the additional diagnostics most relevant to your circumstances. Most reviews involve three to five targeted diagnostics.
3. Business and financial analysis
We bring together your diagnostic results, business information and a high-level review of margins and profitability.
This helps distinguish individual symptoms from the underlying issues affecting performance.
4. Business Review session
We meet to work through the findings, challenge assumptions and identify your most important improvement opportunities.
The focus is on making sense of the information and deciding what deserves attention first.
5. Findings and action plan
You receive a concise summary of the review, including:
- What is working well
- The main issues affecting performance
- Your highest-priority improvement areas
- Recommended strategies and actions
- Clear next steps
The Investment
The Business Review is a complete, standalone advisory engagement and is $2,000 + GST
It includes the diagnostics, analysis, review session, findings and recommended actions described above.
We’ll confirm the scope and investment with you before the review begins, so you’ll know exactly what is included.
